Vintage Marimekko Design Research Jacket

Quilted red boxy Marimekko jacket with wide sleeves from 1975.  Inner tag says it’s from their Design Research store, which were a set of home decor stores, which are considered one of the first lifestyle stores.  The very first Marimekko Design Research store was opened in Harvard Square, Cambridge MA, in 1953, where Anthropology is currently located.  

About a size XL men’s and women’s.

  *note:  There is slight staining on inside of back collar and sun fading on sleeves.
